About Me

Who I Am

I'm Patrick, a frontend developer with over 10 years of experience building production UI. I've worked embedded at Google through creative agencies, built enterprise tools at TripActions, and shipped my own products from scratch. Most of my career has been spent making things look right, load fast, and hold up at scale.

Background

I started building websites early and never stopped. React, TypeScript, and modern CSS are my daily tools, but I've worked across the full stack — databases, APIs, infrastructure. I've seen frameworks come and go, and the thing that sticks is writing code that's easy to maintain and works for everyone who uses it.

How I Work

I care about the details that users feel but don't notice — fast load times, smooth interactions, consistent spacing. My process is straightforward:

  • Build for the end user first. If it's confusing, it's wrong.
  • Ship fast, but not at the cost of performance. I watch Core Web Vitals closely.
  • Write semantic, accessible markup by default — not as an afterthought.

Philosophy

Code is read far more than it's written. If another developer can't open my repo and follow the logic, I haven't done my job. I optimize for clarity — in naming, in structure, in how components are organized.

What's Next

I'm focused on building products — not just features. Right now that means full-stack work with React, Supabase, and AI tooling. I want to keep making things that are useful and well-built.
